Anterior Innominate test is looking for
Unilateral forward displacement of ilium, sacrum, or SI joint sprain
What is the belt test
If pain while unassisted and no pain while assisted assume SI joint problem
If pain is at the same degree or less of flexion then there is lumbar involvement
What is Erichsen’s test
Pupose to elicit pain in the SI joint by stressing the anterior SI joint ligaments
Gaenslen’s test does what
Looking for SI joint sprain or instability
Goldthwait’s sign is what
If there is pain before the L5-S1 separation there is an SI problem
If there is pain after separation the its a lumbar problem
Hibb’s test
Looking for a sacroiliac lesion
Pain is a positive finding
Iliac Compression test
Looking for a sprain of the Posterior SI ligament, Si joint inflammation or subluxation
Lewin Gaenslen test
Looking for SI joint sprain or arthritis
SI joint pain on the affected side or muscle tightness
Yeoman’s test
Looking for SI joint lesion, specifically anterior SI ligaments
Femoral Nerve irritation
Illipsoas or Rectus Femoris muscle contracture
