Orbital Part (surrounds eyelids)- buries eyelids Palpebral Part (within eyelids)- closes eyes
Clinical Note- closing eyelid is essential to preventing damage to the cornea; in cases of facial paralysis the eyes are covered (sewn shut in newborns)

Wrinkles skin of nose

Closes mouth (surrounds lips)

Clinical Note- in Bell’s Palsy there is drooping of the corner of the mouth
