removed osteopathy from list of “cults” and this allowed MDs to work with DOs

Sec. of Defense- ordered acceptance of DO’s into military during Vietnam war – became proving ground for DO’s

limited funds and doomed small hospitals- many were osteopathic (late 20th century)
