Intense Guerilla warfare as the Hungarians fought using Guerrilla tactics

Broadcast pleas for help from the west however these were unsuccessful

- He had his in the Yugoslav emabassy during the fighting
- Kadar offered him safe passage out of Hungary
- Kadar lied and arrested Nagy who was taken to Romania and hanged in 1958

What is the result of the uprising ?
A
- soviet troops easily defeated Hungarian rebels however 7,000 soviet troops died
- 200,000 Hungarians fled the country and many became political refugees
