→ The practical was done by many different people who produced similar results.
→ Therefore the study is reliable because the procedure can be replicated.
APPLICATIONS
→ Used for obeying parents and teachers
→ Children follow everyday instructions from their parents and teachers.
→ Therefore, this can teach children about being obedient and the consequences they have to face if they are not.
VALIDITY
→ Low ecological validity
→ People could have lied on the questionnaire if they knew what the questionnaire was for.
→ Therefore the results may have be as accurate if people have lied about being obedient.
ETHICS
→ Ethical
→ Informed consent was give by participants → Deception: participants were not told what their data was being used for.
→ Therefore, this practical was ethical because consent was given however they were not told what their data was being used for to avoid demand characteristics
