What is a planned evacuation?
The immediate movement of people away from actual or potential danger.
What is the difference between places of relative and ultimate safety?
Relative - where there is no immediate danger but there may be future danger of fire
Ultimate - no immediate danger or risk of future danger
What information regarding evacuation strategy should be ascertained during an SSRI of the building?
Whether there is a stay put or planned evacuation strategy
What are the three stages of situational awareness?
Information Gathering
Understanding information
Anticipation
What are the three stages of a phased evacuation
Initial (fire floor, floor above and floor below)
Partial (after DRA, usually two floors at a time
Full Evacuation
What does EACIE mean?
Evacuation alert control and indicating system
The IC must consider emergence evacuation if certain triggers are observed, what are they?
Fire and / or producers of combustion quickly spreading from one compartment to another internally
Fire breaking out of the compartment externally
Fire and / or products of combustion spreading rapidly across multiple floors internally / externally
Fire in external cladding
FSG being received from locations remote to the original fire
