KANT WEAKNESSES X5-
A
- Consequences- there can be occasions where the consequences are so severe it’s better to break the rule.
- Inflexible- you should be able to break an unhelpful rule if your circumstances warrant it.
- Unrealistic- Kant asks to follow maxims but if (eg) a pacifist makes an example could someone who agrees with war follow it?
- Conflicting duty- which duty to follow?
- Moral law- is moral law real? If so who decides it?
