organization. Within organizational structure, job identification is addressed, its function
and where it reports to within the organization
Code of Ethics
“A set of principles of conduct produced by a profession (or other forms of organization) in a formal document that is meant to guide decision-making and behavior. The purpose of the code is to provide the professionals concerned with guidelines for making ethical choices in their work.
Objective Responsibility
is responsibility to an organization, someone, or specific tasks and goals ). In relation to the role of a public administrator it can be summarized as a responsibility to one’s job duties
Subjective Responsibilty
is the responsibility to our inner beliefs, morals, values, and ethical conscience
External Controls
Attempts to impose on the conduct of individual public servants constraints that originate outside themselves.” These external controls take the form of laws, organizations specifically formed to monitor the ethical behavior of public personnel, and organization codes of ethics
Internal Controls
are our inner beliefs and experiences that shape our morality. Internal controls come from within an individual. `1
