A
  • It is a Rule of Conduct.
  • To ensure I do not advise a client incorrectly which could lead to a professional negligence claim.

A
  1. Be accountable for all my actions
  2. Always act with skill, care and diligence.
  3. Ensure an appropriate complaint handling procedure is in place in the event somebody makes a complaint about me.
  4. If I think something is not right, I am prepared to respectfully challenge and raise the matter with colleaques.

What is the difference between ethics and integrity?

A

Integrity - internal quality of being honest, strong morals. Personal code of conduct that dictates how we behave.

Ethics - external, and applied to an organisations rules, regulations and code of conduct created to allow employees to work following moral principles. Enforced through punishments, threats and penalties.
