How to deal with ethical issues
A
- BPS code of conduct
- U16 need parental consent such as a signature
- Participants should be given a full debrief after research has taken place
- They should be told what their data will be used for and given the opportunity to withdraw their data
- Offer counselling if study may have harmed then in anyway
- Maintain anonymity

Informed consent
A
Getting participants consent to participate In the study or experiment. They should be aware what they are participating In to give full consent

Deception
A
Misleading participants or withholding information. It is only ok if it is not distressing to participant

Protection from harm
A
Participant should be protected from emotional, psychological and physical harm through the study- risk should be ‘normal’

Privacy and confidentiality
A
The participant has the right to control and protect personal data
