Two benefits of research being ethical
-It avoid participants leaving the study in a worse state than when they entered it
-Researchers are likely to get other participants for research in the further if they can see participants are treated well
Two drawbacks of research being ethical
-It can place limits of the sort of research carried out (preventing research that might be really worthwhile being done)
-It can reduce the validity of the research if participants know the aim of the study (they may not behave as they normally would )
