Q

what are the phases of a capnograph?

A
  1. beginning of expiration representing the gas from the dead space (tube, bronchus…)
  2. expiratory upstroke
  3. alveolar plateau where there is slow increase as the alveoli empty
  4. inspiratory downstroke
