What is Misogny ?
Hatred of , or discrimination specifically against women

Why might Christians believe that women can be priests ?
Jesus respected and valued women , many of his closest companions were women . Also , christians often preach of love and equality
Why might Christians believe that women can’t be priests ?
“Women should remain silent in the churches .” The bible says that women are below men and must be submissive to them.
What is Racism?
Discrimination against someone based on their race or views about members of a certain race being inferior die to certain characteristics that they are stereotyped to have.

What is xenophobia?
Fear of or prejudice against people who are from other countries.

What is ecumenism?
The idea that Christians from all different denominations should get together and try to forget their differences and pray together. They often discuss issues and theological questions from their different viewpoints.
What is Homophobia?
Feelings of disgust or hatred towards homosexual people.
Why might Christians believe that only they can go to Heaven?
“Jesus answered ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.” Christians are taught that accepting Jesus is the only way to be forgiven and to go to Heaven.
Why might Christians believe that people from other faiths can go to Heaven?
Some Christians (such as the Catholic church) believe that while Christianity is the greatest religion, other religions do contain some small pieces of the truth and can still lead people to live moral lives. Another group of Christians believe that while Christianity is the only religion that has the truth, other religions have equal value. “In my Father’s house there are many rooms.”
What is Evangelism?
Evangelism is the idea that Christians should preach their religion and spread it as much as is possible.
Why might Christians believe that they should Evangelise?
They might reference the Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
What is missionary work?
Missionary work is being sent on a religious mission abroad to spread the messages of the Bible. They believe that they are doing the work of God and that they are saving people from eternal torture in Hell. This is very linked to the idea of evangelism.
Why might Christians do missionary work?
They may believe that it is their way to serve God. Spreading the word of God is given a great deal of emphasis in the Bible.
