Experience, reason, testimony, revelation

family and friends, personal experience, rational thinking, conscience

sacred texts, founders of the faith, religious principles or rules, tradition and community
What is the source of family and friends?
external voices–evaluation and transition of others experience and knowledge
what is the source of experience/emotions?
use of senses, emotions related to topic, interactions with others
what is the source of rational thinking/reasoning?
what makes sense from deductions, justification for beliefs, inferences
what does an inference do?
they move from data to claim
what is the source of Conscience?
inherent sense of right versus wrong
what is the source of sacred text?
specific instruction, infallible source
what is the source of founders of the faith
church or religious figure heads or teachers
what is the source of religious principles
principles pulled out of teaching
what is the source of religious tradition and community
external voices within the same faith system
why does it matter where we place authority?
they base knowledge on those sources of authority.
