• music fade out from episode 5
• actors speak into microphones so their soft spoken voice is projected from behind audience- sense of intimacy
• When YM sings a non diegetic band plays
• when roe says something nice music changes a key higher
• ‘the bay and the hills’ sound of wind rushing through
• ‘full moon’ soundscape cutting his speech of with different outside sounds; car, walking, telephone noises, jones speaking- faded in as the YM is hit with reality

What would lighting design be for episode 6 (intimate) ?

Answer 2

• simplistic lighting (dimmed lighting) so 3 fresnels with at a low intensity with an orange gel with a general wash
• festoon lights hanging from three coat hangers (wheeled on the bottom for ease of movement)- intimate and cosy atmosphere
• low white haze coming from the window similar to moonlight
• spot cue ‘pretty hands honey’ spotlight on bed to convey significance and Romance which Young Woman craves but fade at ‘what’s that’
• When Roe says something hinting at lack of attachment the lights flicker when he says something nice the intensity of lighting increase to 80%- sence of loving
