  1. Cardiac arrest of any origin
  2. Severe hypotension/shock
  3. Bradycardia
  4. Anaphylaxis
  5. Sever asthma exacerbation

Contraindications

A
  1. No absolution contraindication exists in the emergency setting
  2. Relative contraindications are hypovolemic (shock due to blood loss) shock and hypothermia

Dosing for Cardiac Arrest (asystole/pulseless arrest, v-fib, or pulseless v-tach)

A

1 mg IV/IO bolus (0.1 mg/ml [1:10,000] solution) every 3-5 mi for the duration of the arrest

Dosing for Anaphylaxis and Severe Asthma Exacerbation

A

Initial: 0.3 mg (1 mg/mL [1:1,000] solution) IM, every 5 to 15 minutes as needed

Continuous Infusion: Initiate at 0.1 mcg/kg/min and titration by 0.05 mcg/kg/min every 2-3 min until blood pressure improves
