epidural vs spinal
epidural can deliver meds as long as we need it
Spinal doesn’t have tubing, which means they can give you a shot for a shot. they use it for a c section because they know it will take 1-1.5hours.
since labor is unpredictable they may need more meds than a spinal can provide.
If they are doing an induction (inducing), the contractions come on pretty strong so they say it’s best to get the epidural along with the induction meds

can you start with a walking epidural to a full epidural?
yes
would the age of the person have any issue?
any reason why an induction would be done without starting with an epidural.
