Actions V1 - 400 Feet

- (PF) Maintain Directional Control - Apply enough pressure on both rudder pedals simultaneously - Smoothly center the nosewheel to centerline and allow the airplane to lift off on its own - Note speed to transition to V2 + 10 and visualize end of runway as a “football goal post” to clear ________________________________________________ 2. (PM) “Engine Failure” ________________________________________________ 3. (PF) Once lift-off, rotate smoothly to 12.5º and monitor speed - “Dead Foot Dead Engine” focus on maintaining Beta Target as you pitch, keep rudder pedal inputs to a minimum to avoid pitch oscillation, and trim to about 10 seconds into the pedal that has input - (PM) “Positive Rate” - (PF) “Gear Up” ________________________________________________ 4. (PF) Once trimmed, and V2+10 (FD on point) Command “Autopilot ON” - Command (Select HDG, Activate Secondary, Manage Nav (S.A.M.)(KSEA Procedure) ________________________________________________ 5. At 400 Feet, (PF) Announces “ECAM Actions” - (PM) Initiates ECAM Actions - (CA) Contacts ATC (“Tower SpiritWings671, Experienced a (LH/RH) Engine Failure, Declaring an Emergency, On Runway Heading, Please Notify Company and Standby”

Actions 400 Feet - Acceleration Altitude

- (PM) Continues thru ECAM until THR LEVER 1/2 - “Confirm Engine 1/2 Idle” ________________________________________________ 2. (PF) “Confirm” - Reduces affected Engine to Idle ________________________________________________ 3. (PF) Reaches Accel Altitude, Pushes V/S knob 20 feet prior to Target Altitude - Announces “Stop ECAM, Flaps (1 or 0) - (PM) Stops ECAM and Sets Flaps to (1 or 0) - (PF) @ Flaps 0: “Continue ECAM” ________________________________________________ 4. (PF) Monitor Airspeed reaching Green Dot - Select CL then back to MCT Detent for A/THR - Reach 2-3 knots prior to Green Dot Pull for OP CLB - (CA) Turns OFF RWY and TAXI/T.O Lights

- (PF) Notify ATC for Radar Vectors for ILS - Climb to appropriate altitude respecting the MSA/MEA - “Tower SpiritWings671, Request Radar Vectors for the ILS and appropriate MVA” ________________________________________________ 2. (PM) “Clear Eng 1/2” - (PF) Clear - (PM) Announces Secondary Failures and requests initiation of the statuses - (PM) “Status?” - (PF) “Stop ECAM, After Takeoff Checklist” - (PM) “After Takeoff Checklist Complete” - (PF) Checklists, Resets, and/or Restart Procedures - “Continue ECAM” - (PM) “Status” — (PF) “Read Status” *Turn on ENG A/ICE on operative engine at bleed page* * Start APU at electrical page* ________________________________________________ 3. (PM) “ECAM Actions Complete (going to the COM’s)” - (PF) TEST FA and Make PA - EMER CALL ON and announce - “Hey guys, we had an engine failure, planning a return to the airport, should be landing in about 15min, no evacuation, just remain at your stations, no signal to brace”(THIS IS AN EXAMPLE) - “Ladies and gentlemen, from flight deck, we’ve experienced an engine failure and returning for an immediate landing so please follow the instructions of your flight attendants and remain seated with your seatbelts fastened” ________________________________________________ 4.
