Q

Explain Lock-and-Key Model

A

Enzyme is a lock and substrate is a key. The Active site of Enzyme is exact to the substrate to form Enzyme-substrate complex.

You can’t open the padlock without it’s key.

Q

Explain Induced-Fit Model

A

Enzyme and the substrate is have a different shape but then the substrate forces to fit in enzymes and forming a enzyme-substrate complex.
