What is ISO4001?
A
ISO14001 was first published in 1996 with the same basic requirements as BS7750 with no real significant differences.
The standard has been adopted by an increasingly large number of organisations from the likes of Ford, Toyota & Sony down to small and medium sized enterprises.
It is designed to help an organisation adopt a systematic approach to the evaluation of it’s impact on the environment to control it’s activities to ensure environmental objectives are met

A
- The development of an environmental policy
- The identification of environmental aspects
- Establishment of relevant legal & regulatory requirements
- Development of legal and regulatory targets.
- The establishment & maintenance of an environmental programme in order to achieve its objectives & targets.
