what do you look for, for a snake bites
- bite mark around the ankles
- scratch or puncture
- swelling and redness
- oozing and bruising
- pain

inhibits the switching off of SNS (due to the lack of inhibition of Na channels) –> SNS effects, intracerebral oedema, coma. Then when SNS fails –> hypotensive and bradycardia

- pressure immobilization of the whole limb by a bandage
- administer adrenaline –> fluids, oxygen, resus
