S&S of vertigo

1. N&V
   Severe
   Cause electrolyte imbalance
2. Postural & gait instability
   Usually vertigo of central origin! (Peripheral origin also can have but less common)
3. Pallor & sweating
   Stimulate autonomic nervous system
4. Tinnitus, deafness, headache, photophobia
   When vertigo is associated with migraine, pt will have headache AND photophobia
5. Nystagmus - involuntary oscillation of eyes
   Can observe, especially when pt HAS the episode of vertigo
   Other tests avail if pt NOT having episode of nystagmus
