Can be viral and bacterial

EarCalm (acetic acid)
Paracetamol
What is the treatment for ear wax
Olive oil/almond ear drops
Sodium bicarb ear drops can also be used - but can cause dryness
What are symptoms of non-allergic rhinitis
Sneezing, stuffy and drippy nose
Allergic rhinitis symptoms
Blocked/runny nose and itchiness
What is the treatment for rhinitis?
Saline nasal drops
Warm, moist air
Antihistamines
Corticosteroids for nasal polyps
When should you not use corticosteroids?
Untreated nose infections
How long should you use ephidrine for?
7 days, otherwise rebound congestion can happen
Avoid in under 6 years old
What is used for vasomotor symptoms?
Ipratropium
What are vasomotor symptoms?
Chronic
Sneezing
Stuffy nose
Different from allergic rhinitis - dont have watery or itchy eyes or scratchy throat

Antimuscarinics (hyoscine, oxybutinin
Salivary glands complications like infection, obstruction and cancer
Diuretics
Antipsychotics
TCAs
What is dry mouth treatment
Frequent sips
Artificial saliva
Mouthwashes
Warm saline mouthwash
Hydrogen peroxide mouthwash (ulcerative gingivitis)
Fluoride toothpaste (dental cavities)
