Leading Lines
Eyes of a subject, where are they pointing?
Gaze
Non-verbal signs that communicate feelings
Body Language
What has been included in the image and what hasn’t been.
Framing
The way things are arranged in the frame
Composition
When two things are very clearly opposite and contrasted together
Juxtaposition
Things that are aligned at the front of the image towards you
Foreground
Things that are aligned further away from you at the back of the image
Background
The representation of a deeper meaning or idea through an element in the image
Symbolism
Difference between light and dark in the image
Contrast/lighting
What people in the image are wearing
Costuming
The angle at which the photo is taken
Camera angle
Anything that is written, including the style and size of the lettering and any language features used in there
