People who may have “done it”

People who are trying to figure out the truth
Who are Red Herrings?
People who are used to confuse the reader from figuring out the crime

People who saw the crime and provide information
What are Victims?
The person suffering as an effect og hte crime or secret. You are meant to pity them.

Motive:
A reason for commiting the crime
(perpertrators must have all these)
Oppertunity:
Time to commit the crime
What is an “Aliright alibi”
The person was seen somewhere else during the crime so cannot be the suspect.
What is an eye witness?
A person who saw the crime and can provide information
What is a suspect?
A person who is thought to have perhaps commited the crime because of the witness and/or evidence
what is spontaneous utterenace?
Something said in the heat of the moment while a person is under stress or excitment
what is a Sleuth/gumshoe?
other words for a detective
what is a hunch?
A guess or gut feeling about something that isnt based on facts
What is a clue?
A clue is something that the detective finds that helps solve the crime
What is evidence?
Facts or artifacts that work to prove who was involved in the crime
what is a perpatrator?
The person who is guilty of commiting the crime
what are archetypes?
very typical or expected example of a certain person/ type character
What is deduction?
solving the crime using small details/ clues
What is mood?
Mood is the vibe of the story (not the vibe of what the characters give off but the story) this could be setting
What is symbolism?
Symbolism is when words that mean or symbol differnt thing then the real meaning of the word
