What is a metaphor?
A comparison not using like or as.
Example: She had a heart of gold.
What is alliteration?
The repetition of the same beginning sound in two or more words.
Example: The slimy, slithering snake.
What is a simile?
A comparison using βlikeβ or βasβ.
Example: He is as strong as an ox..
What types of sentence structures are there?
There are 4 types. Simple, compound, complex and compound-complex.
What are sentence starters?
Words or phrases that introduce the rest of the sentence, separated by commas.
Example: Before, Next morning, Since, Because of thisβ¦
What is grammar?
Grammar is the rules of language.
What is imagery?
Language that appeals to the senses: sight, hearing, taste, and touch.
Example: The sunset was the most gorgeous theyβd ever seen; the clouds were edged with pink and gold.
What is emotive language?
Language intended to create an emotional response.
Example: They left him terrified and feeling betrayed.
What is range of punctuation?
A range of punctuation that you can use in your writing.
What are connotations?
The thoughts and feelings associated with words beyond its dictionary meaning.

What is symbolism?
Synmbolism is the idea that things represent other things.
What is pathetic fallacy?
When the weather describes the mood.

What type of conditions are they working in?
They are working with conditions that have a risk to decease, infections, cuts and so on.
What risks do they face?
They could die, get incredibly sick or suffer minor or major injuries.
Why is it hard for people to help them?
It is hard for people to help them because they have to work for their parents as they are not registered.
