Tools or guides that support and allow the readers to understand complex concepts. They are usually graphics, outlines, or visuals that highlight the dominant idea of a concept.
Textual Aids
employs overlapping ovals to create a visual depiction of the relationships between the subjects and ideas discussed in a text. Overlapping circles highlight the similarities, while the outside circles highlight the differences.
Venn Diagram
uses lines to arrange the order, flow, connection, and relationship between individuals, groups, objects, or concepts. This is used to describe and explain things and ideas that are frequently challenging to understand.
Flowchart
is a visual representation that brings abstract ideas to life. The organization of key contents makes it possible to simplify and make complex ideas understandable.
Graphic organizer
It is a type of graphic organizer that highlights key concepts together with their distinctive traits. This aids in idea learning using a visual modality.
Concept Map
It is a graph that shows changes or transitions throughout time. The terms “y axis” (horizontal) and “x axis” refer to the locations that are connected by a line and intersect it (vertical).
Line graph
It is a diagram that displays the physical qualities, proportions, and features of a landmass or aquatic feature in a particular area.
Map
shows a series of vertical or horizontal graphics that categorize a piece of data. Here, numerical values are presented along with any kind of factor, each allowing the reader to assess the relationship of concepts.
Bar graph or bar chart
It is a well-organized graphic that exhibits a number of data points or facts that are connected to one another. Typically, the data are organized into rows or columns.
Table
The slice division in a graph displays the percentage in relation to the whole. It is a circular image that is divided into specific pieces or segments that make up a whole, illustrating and highlighting proportions with numbers or digits.
Pie
knowledge that you get about someone or something: facts or details about a subject. Facts provided or learned about something or someone.
Information
Gives firsthand knowledge about an event, person, material, or piece of art.
They are authentic materials that have not been interpreted, condensed, or reviewed by a second party.
Materials produced at the time the incident occurred or by those who witnessed or experienced the event
Primary source
Provides analysis or restatement of original
source. Materials that summarize, explain, rearrange, or otherwise add value to a primary source.
Created by someone not from the time period or created after the event.
Secondary source
These are sources that index, abstract, arrange,
assemble, or digest other materials. Some reference works and textbooks are called when their primary objective is to list, summarize, or simply repackage ideas or other information.
These sources are more often used to look up facts or to get a general idea about something.
