Preparation:
Look at all the information and try to understand it; Check the reliability of the source
Introduction (formalia)
Description:
Adress all visual aspects and abnormalities, relationships and connections, going from most important information to less important information and consider why the data is presented in a table/chart/diagramm
Interpretation/Conclusion: Draw a conclusion from the numbers, relate it to background knowledge. Critically asses the presentation: is it easy to read? a reliable source ? is it still valid ? In what way is it presented (good/bad/neutral)

PReparation:
Look at all details in the cartoon and get all essential information out of it
Introduction: Formalia
Description:
Structured description of what one can see in the cartoon
Analysis / Interpretation:
What message is conveyed by the cartoon and how is it done ? Pay attention to (cartoonists message, what way the issue is presented, pay attention to if any devices are used (exaguration, pun etc), what effect it has on the viewer, summary of message
Evaluation:
Asses whether the cartoon is effective in bringing across its message

A

Preparation:
Read all the details and write down your own opinion. Collect and organise your thoughtd/arguments and the corresponding examples
Introduction:
Write a clear introduction in which u meantion the topic / statement and explain what it means to you. If necessary define central workds or summarize what the point an author makes (you can include a recent event to help you here, also possibly mention your attitude towards something)
Main part:
Intorductionary sentence
Arguments for your position and illustrate them with examples; counterarguments only if u can counter them
! use a paragraph per argument ! start each topic with a topic sentence which expresses what the whole paragraph is about
Conclusion:
Briefly refer to the original question, summarize your opinion and make your point
If possible refer to past ideas

Description: Visual description and mentioning of abnormalities, describe the painting technique, doimnant point

Who is the addresse ? Does this picture have any special intent ? Realistic or manipulated photo ? Mood ? Summariziation
Evaluation:
Assess whether the picture is effective in bringing across its message and outline the elemtns supporting its success / failure of doing so.

Argumentative essay: (oparator: discuss)

A

Preparation: Collect arguments, back them up with examokes for the different positions
Introduction:
Write a clear, thought provoking introduction in which you present you issue/statement and show why its important to discuss (possible to mention a recent event etc
Main part:
sentence to connect intro to main part
Present both sides with corresponding arguments and examples
! paragraoh per argument ! start with a topic sentence
! finish with the most convincing ! no personal opinions
Conclusion:
Briefly refer to original question and wrap up the discussion
Give personal opinion without referring to your arguments or leave it for the reader to decide
If possible refer ti the events you mentioned in your intro

Use the first sentence of your summary note the main idea of the text
Write short paragraphs suming up the major arguments. Use your own word as much as possible in the present tence
