Engine Start Flashcards
At what NH should Condition Lever be moved to START/FEATHER?
Initial Fuel Flow?
10-19% NH,
(10% NH if ITT<50°, 15% NH if ITT >50°)
Fuel flow 40 ± 20Kg/hr
Verify increase in oil pressure between __% NH and __% NH?
Between 35% NH and 50% NH.
Confirm starter disengagement at __% NH by?
At 63% NH by -
* ENGINE START SELECT switch returns to null position.
* SELECT light . . . . . . . OFF
* GEN Load Meter indicates zero,
or positive for first engine start.
Normal idle NH?
75 ± 3%
Indications that Starter has failed to cut-out following an engine start?
START Light Remains Illuminated or a Negative Load on the Generator Load Meter.
(QRH procedure)
Aborted Engine Start memory items?
- Condition Lever ……………………….. Fuel Off
- IF ITT does not decrease immediately
Pull Fuel Off handle ………………….….. Pull - Ignition (affected engine)…………..…… Off
- Motor engine for a minimum of 15 seconds
- Start Select Switch …………………..……. Off
Minimum MAIN BATT voltage for start?
(To maximise battery and starter/generator life)
22V
(Applies to Battery, GPU assisted, APU assisted and Cross Generator assisted starts. This applies to both the first and second engine.)
To maximise battery and starter/generator life, wait until MAIN BATT load is below ___ before starting second engine.
0.4
