What are indications of an engine fire?
A
- Smoke or flames from the engine compartment
- Discolouration, bubbling, and or melting of the engine cowling skin
- Abnormally high CHT, EGT, and oil temperature
- Fluctuating fuel pressure, oil pressure, and rpm
- Erratic or rough engine operation accompanied by other indications of engine fire
- Scent of burning gasoline, oil, or other components in the engine compartment
- Severe engine damage with fuel leakage

What are the actions of an engine fire on the ground?
A
- Fuel shutoff valve—off (lift the fuel shutoff valve handle release and pull the handle fully aft…)
- Cabin heat—off (move the lever fully upward to OFF to prevent flow of fumes, smoke, and fire through the cabin heat system in the cockpit)
- Mixture—idle cutoff
- Ignition switch—off
- Gen/bat master switch—off
- Emergency ground egress
