Q

What occurs during the Krebs cycle?

A

->Pyruvic acid combines with Coenzyme A to form Acetyl CoA
-> And Acetyl CoA combines with oxaloacetic acid to form citric acid
->Then the citric acid enters the krebs cycle
->Co2 is formed
->Oxidation leads to Hydrogen ions and electrons enter the electron transfer chain
-> 2 ATP is resynthesised

15
Q

What happens during the electron transfer chain?

A

Hydrogen ions and electrons enter the chain and are charged with potential energy. They combine with oxygen to from water or oxygen, therefore energy is resynthesised to 34 ATP
