How does sound travel as waves?
Sound is a type of energy produced by vibrations. The vibrations extend outwards in all directions. Vibrating air particles have kinetic energy (movement energy). This kinetic energy is transferred from air particle to air particle as a sound wave travels.
How light reflected to result in colours
When light hits an object, some colors are reflected, and others are absorbed. If it reflects all colors equally, it appears white, and if it absorbs all colors, it looks black. A red apple reflects red light, making it look red.

Energy released from the Sun is called electromagnetic radiation. In addition to the visible light that can be seen, radiation from the Sun includes gamma rays, X-rays, UV radiation, infrared radiation, microwaves and radio waves
