- Heat (produced by friction, causes a change in temperature)
- Sound (anything that makes sound)
- Chemical (atoms are bonded, when they are broken, energy is produced)
- Electrical
- Electromagnetic (light, carried by x-rays, radio waves, laser light)
- Nuclear (when the nucleus is split, nuclear energy is released in the form of heat energy and light energy)
- Mechanical (energy possessed by an object due to its motion or position)
- Kinetic Energy (energy of motion)
- Gravitational Potential (stored energy of position)
- Elastic Potential (stored energy as a result of applying a force to deform an elastic object)
