What is an orchidectomy?
A testicle resection
What is pituitary apoplexy?
Sudden headache, vision change, and mental function disturbance due to bleeding into the pituitary most commonly secondary to an adenoma
What is pleocystic astrocytoma?
Brain tumour of astrocytes that can arrise in a number of areas within the brain
What is CAH?
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia is a group of autosomal recessive disorders characterised by deficiencies of cortisol and/or aldosterone production
What is adrenal rest?
A cause of testicular mass due to adrenal cell proliferating in the testies - commonly associated with CAH
What is fludrocortisone?
A synthetic corticosteroid used for replacement of mineralocorticoids
What is SIADH?
Syndrome of inappropriate ADH secretion characterised by hyponatriaemia (due to excess water reabsorption) and hyposmolarity
