A 30-year-old lady presents with episodes of palpitations and flushing. She complains that during these episodes, she feels very sweaty and anxious and it is interrupting her work. On examination, you note a forceful apex beat. Additionally, she has an anterior neck lump with associated cervical lymphadenopathy.

Pheochromocytoma caused by multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 genetic disorder (caused by a mutation in the RET gene) which is also causing a medullary thyroid carcinoma (explains the anterior neck lump)
