Stimulates the liver to break down glycogen into glucose.
It also converts certain non carbohydrates, including amino acids into glucose.
What does insulin do?
Works in a manner opposite of glucagon.
Stimulating the liver to form glycogen from glucose.
Inhibiting conversion of non-carbohydrates into glucose.
Insulin increases glucose transport across cell membranes.
Diabetes Mellitus can occur in three forms. What are they?
Type 1
Type 2
Gestational
