All patients taking steroid therapy, esp for longer than 3 weeks
includes patients on high-doses of inhaled or topical steroids

A
D&V thiazides loop diuretics CS alkalolsis beta-blockers insulin

Causes of hyperkalaemia
A
reduced renal excretion: renal failure, potassium-sparing diuretics, ACEi, NSAIDs, Addison’s…
leaves the cells: acidosis, diabetic hyperglycaemia, cell damage (eg burns)
