What is the function of barriers
A
- keeping animals securely within the limits of enclosure
- prevent visitors from entering the enclosure or coming into contact with the animals
- they must allow visitors a good view of the animals
- they should be visually appealing/ natural looking
- Many different barriers are available

A
Secure
Clear enclosure boundaries
May be naturalistic

A
Need regular inspection from safety/ security
May not be aesthetically pleasing

A
The width and depth need to be sufficient to keep animal in the enclosure
May contain water or dey moat
A wall is needed to prevent visitors from falling
