what is meant by the term National living wage?[1]
a minimum hourly rate of pay paid to workers aged 23 & over
what does the Health and Safety legislation require? [1]
requires all employees to take responsibility for health and safety.
what are the advantages of the Health and Safety legislation at Work Act of 1974 ? [2]
-a safe environment should mean fewer accidents
-more productive workforce (less time off work to recover)
what are the disadvantages of the Health and Safety legislation at Work Act of 1974 ? [2]
-training can be expensive
-companies not following the law can result in being fined, prosecuted or shut down.
