Dropping a shift
Make an announcement in the Open Shifts channel, reach out to teammates directly, etc. If the schedule is published, it is your responsibility to find someone to cover your shift.
Tardiness
All communication regarding tardiness must happen directly with a manager via a phone call once you know you will be late. Also call the restaurant and alert the team. DO NOT TEXT. Message relayed through another employee is unacceptable.
Side work and checklists
You do not get to leave until you are finished and your team has acknowledge your finished. Ideally, all lunch side work should be done before open and all night side work should be done after close.

Beer changes
- Update the website
- Change the tile
Upcomming tiles are either above the front door or downstairs in the tile bin. If you cannot find an upcoming tile, please make one; blank tiles, chalk and magic erasers are downstairs in/above the tile bin.
Transition period
“It has been a pleasure to serve you. I am going to pass you off to x. Please let me know if you need anything before I go”
Bottles sorting and recyling
- Budweiser
- Corona
- High Life
Do not leave boxes directly on the floor. All other bottles and cans should be put in blue bins out back or the recycling dumpster.
Acceptable forms of identification
- US state/territory drivers license
- MA identification card
- MA liquor identification card
- US passport
- Passport issued by government officially recognized by the US
- Passport card for a US passport
- US issued Military identification card
Pets and Service Animals
Pets are not welcome. Service animals are permitted.
Only when the disability is not obvious, staff may ask the following questions to determine whether an animal is a service animal:
- Is the animal a service animal required because of a disability?
- What task or service is the animal trained to perform?
Massachusetts law requires that staff take the individual at their word.
