Alcohol Flashcards
See The Elephant
See the Elephant is a rucola style amaro from the Cilento Coast of southern Italy made for the modern adventurer. Using a generations old recipe See the Elephant is primarily made using arugula, bottled at 30% ABV or 60 proof, the taste profile is a bittersweet full-bodied botanical with vanilla and caramel sweetness growing into an aromatic finish following the trajectory of a night well spent and a life well lived
Amaro
Amaro, Italian for “bitter”, broadly refers to a class of Italian aromatic, herbal, or bittersweet liqueurs typically served as an after-meal digestif. Amari is made by combining barks, herbs, roots, citrus peels, and flowers with a neutral spirit or wine which is then sweetened and allowed to age for balance and complexity.
Espanita Reposado Tequila
Heady agave aroma with scents of spiced butter, grilled lime, jasmine tea, pecan, and sweet vanilla with cinnamon sparks. On a palate, cocoa spiked with red pepper and crystallized ginger, with notes of lemon and ripe pineapple. Long coconut cream, candied banana, and Muscat a Petit grains finish.
Espanita reposado has been rested in oak for 6 months compared to a blanco tequila which is unaged or aged for up to two months and bottled immediately after distillation.
Codigo Rosa Tequila
Begins with their Blanco, then it’s rested for 1 month in uncharred Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels. It’s smooth and delicious.
Ottos Greek Vermouth
A high quality Greek wine infused with a delicate balance of rose petals, wormwood, citrus fruit, olive leaves and selected herbs from the sun of Athens. With its lightly bitter but sweet taste, highlights of rose petal, vanilla, oregano and fresh lemon notes.
