A

A

Area where potential threat exist. Not direct or immediate. Been searched by law but threat still exist elsewhere in the building or venue. Also IDLH. Fire permitted to work with appropriate PPE including body armor and with Force Protection assistance

Cold Zone

A

No significant danger or threat can be reasonably anticipated. Determined by utilizing distance, geographic location or terrain with respect to type or firepower or explosive potential. Appropriate location for ICP, treatment areas, staging, and logs functions.

A

A

Developed in battlefield settings by military. Patient population that is generally young adults focuses on the variables of penetrating trauma. Successful in combat injury outcomes.

Tactical emergency casualty care (TECC)

A

Based on TCCC focuses on LSI treatment and rapid hemorrhage and airway control. Along with rapid evac thru warm zone to cold zone and transport. Takes into account patient population. Minimum equipment used limited to field supplies tourniquets, large trauma dressing etc cardiac monitors should be avoided.

A

Comprised of fire and law 2 of each with one preferably a medic and a law leader to deploy to a warm zone or CCP to provide LSI and rapid extraction. Can respond to with less aster a risk assessment by the team leader designated as RTF 1, 2 etc
Fire can be unofficial leader as well
