Levels of Rehab?
Level 1: single, dedicated EMS unit, applicable for incidents up to and including a first alarm assignment or incidents where units will be operating for less than one hour
Level 2: multiple dedicated resources with a dedicated supervisor-ALS presence required
Level 3: multiple dedicated resources with a designated supervisor for long term or campaign incidents such as a large brush fire or hazmat incident

Failed Rehab Criteria:
- Any complaint of ALOC, persistent headache, chest pain, trouble breathing, persistent air hunger, or other signs of serious medical events
- Vitals signs outside the safe range after 40minutes of rehab
- Any emerging injury, such as burns, swelling or soft tissue injury, increasing muscle cramping or spasms in spite of rehab
- Evident of injury from environmental extremes or any other signs of minor injury that requires medical evaluation prior to returning to an operational status
