Glide ratio is 2nm per 1,000 feet of altitude

22
Q

Air start procedures (Starter assist)

  • do not attempt air starts if N1 indicates zero
  • above 20,000 feet, starts get a lot hotter. It may be necessary to move condition lever into cutoff in order to avoid an over temperature condition

*If conditions permit, retard operative engine ITT to 700 degrees or less to reduce the possibility of exceeding ITT limit - reduce electrical load to minimum consistent with flight conditions

Ignition and engine start - ON (Ignition On annunciation illuminates)
Condition lever - low idle
ITT and N1 - Monitor (1,000 maximum)
Ignition and engine start - Off (N1 above 50%)

24
Q

What oil pressure values are undesirable and should on be tolerated for the completion of the flight?

How should the engine be operated in this case?

What limits requires the engine to be shut down or a landing made at the nearest airport?
