Fire in Flight
Enter Autorotation
Master OFF
Alternator OFF
If engine is running, perform normal landing and immediately shut off fuel valve.
If engine stops, shutoff fuel and full down Auto.
Fire on the Ground
Continue cranking to suck flames and fuel into engine
If starts, run at 60-65% for a short time.
Electrical Fire in Flight
Master OFF
Alternator OFF
land immediately and extinguish fire.
Retreating Blade Stall
Flight Characteristics: Vibrations Pitching up Rolling towards retreating blade Causes: exceeding Vne High weight Low rotor RPM Steep abrupt Turns RECOVERY: Lower Collective Ensure RPM Aft Cyclic
Oil Light
Indicates loss of engine power or pressure.
Check tachs and pressure gauge. If there is Pressure loss, land immediately
Clutch Light
If > 10 seconds, pull breaker, land ASAP
MR Chip
TR Chip
MR temp
If accompanied by noise, vibration, or temp rise, land immediately. If not, land ASAP
Low Fuel
5 min left, land immediately!
ALT
indicates low voltage or possible failure.
turn off nonessential electronics, switch off/on.
if light stays ON, land ASAP
Starter On
Indicates starter motor engaged
GOV-OFF
indicates governor is off
Loss of tail rotor efficiency
MR Disc interference - quartering headwind
Weathercock Stability - Tailwind
Tail Rotor VRS - Left Cross wind.
