Dual Engine Failure
Autorotate
Single Engine Failure
Achieve safe single engine airspeed- If possible
External stores and cargo- Jettison (if required)
Fire
Airspeed- adjust to 80KIAS or below
EPCL- Off
Apu Fire T-Handle/ Engine emergency off handle- Pull as appropriate
Fire Extinguisher Switch- Main/ Reserve as required
Land as soon as possible
Coupled Flight Director Malfunction
Remote Standby Switch- Press
CPLD/UNCPL SW- Press to uncouple FD
FPS & Trim SW- OFF
FPS & Trim SW- ON
Engine Control malfunction, Low Side Failure
EPCL (Low Q/TGT Engine) - Lockout (Maintain Q approx 10% below other engine)
Stabiliator uncommanded nose down pitch attitude change
Cyclic Mounted Stabiliator Slew Up SW- Adjust as required to arrest nose down pitch rate
Flight Control/rotor System Vibrations or malfunctions in air/ground
Land As Soon As Possible
EPCL- Off
Fuel System Selectors- Off
Boost Pump SW- Off
Lightning Strike
EPCL- Adjust as required to control NP&NR
Main Transmission Failure
Land as soon as possible (keep power applied to the main transmission during deceleration and landing)
Loss of Tail Rotor Control
Cruise-Right Yaw
Autorotate- maintain airspeed at or above 80KIAS
EPCL- OFF during deceleration when intended point of landing is assured
Low Airspeed- Right Yaw
Collective- Reduce
EPCL-OFF 5-10’ before touchdown
Low Airspeed/Hover- Left Yaw
EPCL- retard
Collective- Increase (NR decreases)
EPCL- OFF 5-10’ before touchdown
Collective- Adjust for landing
