dry the baby (baby cant regular temp. at risk for hypothermia)
while drying the baby, where do we keep her?
what happens if you lower baby?
what happens if you raise baby?
at the level of the uterus (because when you lower the baby, it’s gonna get a bolus of blood and will increase biliirubin levels)
and when you raise baby, and the placenta is still delivering, the baby can bleed out.
after the baby is dried, where do we place the baby?
on mommy’s abdomen and cover her (for skin to skin contact)
with a retained placenta, what am I worried about?
infection, but we are more worried about bleeding.
