Urticaria
- local increase in permeability of capillaries and small venules
- Swelling involving superficial dermis, raising the epidermis
- Treat with antihistamines

- Deeper swelling involving the dermis and subcutaneous tissues
- Swelling of tongue and lips
- Treat with corticosteroids
- May lead to asphyxia, cardiac arrest and death

- Sarcoidosis, pregnancy, OCP, throat infection (URTI), TB, Everything else (IBD, non-hodgkins lymphoma), Drugs (sulphonylurea)

Rapidly spreading infection of the deep fascia with secondary tissue necrosis
