Announce this is an anaesthetic emergency
Stop surgery if operating
Call for help
Remove stimulus
- Take out LMA
- Suction oropharynx
Apply 100 FiO2 with CPAP tight fitting mask
- Consider oropharyngeal airway
Deepen anaesthesia with propofol
Muscle relaxant
0.1mg/kg sux or full 1-2mg/kg
2mg/kg sublingual
4mg/kg IM

Scan monitors
ABCDE
Suction oropharynx
Look for signs of -ve pressure oedema
Consider whether an ETT is required
Consider whether to proceed with surgery
