Q

Importance of water in supporting life on earth. (blue planet)

A

Earth is known as the ‘blue’ planet, because unlike other planets in our solar system it has liquid water. This is because it lies in the ‘Goldilocks zone’ (a certain distance from stars + not too hot nor too cold), where it is ‘just right’ for water to exist in liquid form.
