Interconnected
Different parts being connected or joined.
What are earth’s life support systems?
A system of natural processes that sustainably enables life to continue to be present on earth.
Name 5 spheres where life support systems are interconnected.
Biosphere, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere, Geosphere, Cryosphere.
Importance of water in supporting life on earth. (blue planet)
Earth is known as the ‘blue’ planet, because unlike other planets in our solar system it has liquid water. This is because it lies in the ‘Goldilocks zone’ (a certain distance from stars + not too hot nor too cold), where it is ‘just right’ for water to exist in liquid form.
